EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW
Evan Nikolas Fields Steps Into the Spotlight with The Wayfinders
Conducted by Guillaume Jean Lefebvre

1. Evan, congratulations on your leading role in The Wayfinders. What first drew you to the world of Flynn Griffin — and what did you see in him that felt personal to you?
I was first drawn to the world of Flynn Griffin because his excitement towards new adventures was something I really admired. Over time, we see Flynn’s willingness to open up to others and have a sense of vulnerability that I find deeply relatable.
2. The Wayfinders blends fantasy, adventure, and emotion in a way that feels deeply human. How did you approach portraying Flynn’s inner conflict between doing what’s right and following what feels right?
Flynn has a strong moral compass, but his ability to listen to his friends and work as a team guides him toward what’s actually right instead of what feels right.
3. Flynn is described as the “emotional compass” of the group. In your own life, what keeps you grounded when things start to fall apart?
What keeps me grounded is knowing I have friends and family that support me through every moment in life. They teach me to take a moment and breathe when things get overwhelming.
4. The series explores self-discovery and courage through extraordinary circumstances. Has working on The Wayfinders changed your own perspective on identity and belief in yourself?
Working on The Wayfinders was my first experience as a lead character on a show. It gave me confidence in my abilities to create something from start to finish. This experience has reaffirmed my passion as an actor and desire to pursue this career for as long as possible.
5. You’ve worked on major productions like He’s All That for Netflix and guest-starred on beloved shows from Modern Family to Station 19. How did those early experiences prepare you for leading a project like this one?
The early experiences I’ve had on set have taught me the importance of punctuality and absorbing as much information as possible. There is always an opportunity to learn and grow if you’re willing to put in the hard work.
Driven by a rare sensitivity and a presence already noticed in productions such as He’s All That for Netflix and his appearances in Modern Family and Station 19, Evan Fields now reaches a new milestone in his career with his very first leading role. He embodies Flynn Griffin, the emotional core of the new series The Wayfinders, a universe where adventure, fantasy, and humanity blend with unexpected depth.
Through this character guided by courage, loyalty, and a search for meaning, Evan reveals a level of artistic maturity that firmly establishes him among the rising talents to watch. His performance immerses viewers in a journey of self-discovery where emotion remains the guiding thread — a reflection of his own path as an actor.
The Wayfinders is set to premiere on December 16th on the Angel Studios streaming platform, with new episodes airing weekly.
Discover now the interview in which Evan Fields opens up about his role, his evolution, and the deeper vision behind this promising new series.

INTERVIEW
6. Angel Studios is known for creating stories that resonate on a spiritual and emotional level. What do you think makes The Wayfinders stand out in today’s landscape of fantasy and adventure series?
What differentiates The Wayfinders from most series is that the show focuses on real human relationships, all while dealing with fantasy elements. The core of this show is the connection between all of the characters and how they navigate this world together.
7. Flynn’s evolution is about learning to trust himself and others. What’s something you’ve learned about trust — either in your craft or your personal life — since stepping into this role?
Flynn’s evolution has taught me that trust is able to grow when you stop overthinking and start listening to your instincts and gut choices.
8. The world of The Wayfinders is rich with symbolism and meaning. If you could describe Flynn in just three words, what would they be — and why?
Three words to describe Flynn would be courage, purpose, and loyalty. He values friendship above all and eventually becomes the leader he always wanted to be.

9. Beyond acting, what fuels your creativity? Are there other forms of storytelling or art that inspire the way you approach a character?
I’m inspired by observing people and how they move and react to certain situations. These attributes that I observe help shape the characters that I play. I like to bring real human instinct to all of my characters to make them relatable.
10. As the series prepares to unveil new episodes this December, what do you hope audiences will feel after watching The Wayfinders — and after meeting Flynn?
I hope audiences can connect with the characters they see in The Wayfinders. I want viewers to be fully immersed in the world we created.
11. If you could give one piece of advice to young actors or artists who would like to follow in your footsteps, what would you tell them?
I would tell young actors and artists to stay curious, question everything, and always be open to knowledge.

Quality, not quantity
We have made quality our habit. It’s not something that we just strive for – we live by this principle every day.
