Michelle Harris:
The Vision Behind Alive & Well and Celebrity Wellness Events

Michelle Harris, host and producer of the renowned wellness lifestyle television series Alive & Well, has dedicated her career to helping people look and feel their best. Beyond her work on screen, she’s a passionate animal advocate and co-founder of the rescue group Animal Angels.

With a loyal audience of over 40 million viewers across the USA TODAY NETWORK and nationwide syndication, Alive & Well has become a trusted source for beauty, wellness, and lifestyle inspiration. Taking the show beyond the screen, Michelle recently hosted an exclusive “Day of Beauty and Wellness” event at the stunning Stone Canyon House in Bel Air. This star-studded gathering featured cutting-edge treatments like Ultherapy Brow Lifts, Emface, and Emsculpt, alongside eco-conscious practices, plant-based cuisine, and curated gift bags filled with top wellness products. Captured for a special episode of Alive & Well, the event gave attendees—and future viewers—a unique glimpse into the latest beauty and wellness trends.

Éclair Magazine was honored to be invited to participate in this exclusive event, providing an inside look at the innovative wellness treatments and celebrity experiences that define Alive & Well.

With exciting plans for 2025, including new episodes and more live experiences, Michelle continues to inspire audiences with her holistic approach to wellness.

  1. Could you introduce yourself in a few words for those discovering you for the first time?

I am the host and producer of the wellness lifestyle television series, Alive & Well. I am passionate about helping people to look and feel their best. In addition, I am one of the founders of the animal rescue group, Animal Angels. Helping animals is something that is very meaningful in my life.

  2. What inspired you to bring Alive & Well from television to a live celebrity wellness event?

Alive & Well is more than just a television show. It’s a lifestyle. Everything under the wellness umbrella is part of an overall experience. We wanted to showcase all the newest and best in beauty and wellness to some of my celebrity friends and some special VIP guests.

  1. The event featured a variety of cutting-edge treatments and products. Which ones stood out to you the most, and why?

I have to say that I loved all of the treatments we featured! I wanted our guests to have the best possible beauty and wellness journey.
    Some of the highlights were:

  • The Ultherapy Brow Lift, which was performed by Lauren Goodman, RN, from Juliana Clinics. Lauren is amazing! This treatment has a brand-new update and is even more effective. The results are incredible!

  • Emface from AVA MD was also a crowd-pleaser. This device lifts and tones and is great when you need a quick pick-me-up!

  • Dr. Mariana Vergara did an amazing job with the Emsculpt treatment! Emsculpt helps to tone and tighten areas on the body that can be challenging—no matter how much you work out! It’s great for abs!

  • Our gift bags contained some of my favorite products: Biosil Collagen Generator, which helps the body create more collagen for great-looking hair, skin, and nails. I also introduced guests to Relaxium, a cutting-edge supplement for better sleep, and Friska, a new digestive health supplement that combines unique probiotics with digestive enzymes. It’s the perfect supplement for the gut microbiome!

  • Next Health in West Hollywood had some specialized B-12 shots that were a hit! They help to give you energy naturally, which I love.

  • Rewind Aesthetics had an amazing lymphatic drainage massage along with a room with treatments from Galderma. This included Dysport and Alastin Skincare! This treatment room was a celebrity favorite!

  • Celebrity aesthetician Marc Edward from Marc Edward Skincare performed mini facials to keep our guests glowing!

  • SonoBreasts provided complimentary ultrasounds for early detection and preventative health.

  • Our gift bags were chock-full of goodies like Plated Stem Cell Skincare, Moss Air Purifiers, Alcohol-Free Mocktails from Noughty Alcohol-Free Sparkling Chardonnay, Friska Probiotics, Biosil Collagen Generator, Go Free Snacks, and more.

We wanted to have a wide variety of treatments in the wellness and beauty spaces, and I felt like we succeeded so that all our guests left feeling great!

  1. With so many notable celebrities attending, how do you decide who to invite, and what role do they play in highlighting wellness trends?

I really did invite my celebrity friends and some celebrities who have been guests on the television show Alive & Well. It just expanded from there to celebrity friends of celebrity friends!
Celebrities have access to the latest in beauty and wellness, so we thought we would have them try our Alive & Well experience. Fortunately, they loved it. We managed to keep it private and intimate, which was perfect!

  2. Hosting an event in a stunning $25M Bel Air mansion must have come with its challenges. Can you share some memorable moments or unique aspects of organizing it?

Our venue was Stone Canyon House, which was developed by Melanie Marlo. It was the perfect home for our “Day of Beauty and Wellness” because it was beautiful but also designed with wellness in mind. Melanie developed the home to give people a sense of peace and tranquility. Stone Canyon House was the crown jewel of the event. It really added to what we were doing! Plus, it looks gorgeous on camera!

  3. Cameras were rolling throughout the event to create a special episode of Alive & Well. What made you decide to film this live experience for your audience?

We decided to shoot our “Day of Beauty and Wellness” for an episode of Alive & Well because it was our show in real life! Of course, we wanted viewers to find out about all the great beauty and wellness treatments that the celebrities experienced! If you have ever wanted to know what someone was doing to stay in great shape, stay healthy, have glowing skin, or get rest, etc., we are showing all the secrets!

  1. The event introduced innovative treatments like Emface and Emsculpt. How do you select which wellness trends to feature at your events?

It’s important to stay on top of what is new and next! Fortunately, Los Angeles is a place where we have some of the top beauty and wellness facilities in the country. We were thrilled to work with so many of them on our event. Personally, I do a great deal of research to be sure we have experiences that will be effective and easy to do.

  2. For those who couldn’t attend, what can they look forward to in the upcoming episode covering the Day of Beauty & Wellness?

For our viewers, the Alive & Well episode covering our “Day of Beauty and Wellness” will show all of the celebrities who attended.
We had a chance to sit down with many of them and get their beauty and wellness tips!
We also spoke to all of the practices about their particular treatments to get in-depth information.
Of course, we will also show the gorgeous Stone Canyon House so everyone can see it for themselves. We even have footage from the red carpet! It will really be as if you were there!

  3. As someone deeply involved in the wellness industry, how do you integrate the trends and products featured at your events into your personal routine?

The products in our gift bags are all products I use! Friska is incredible for healthy digestion. Biosil is a supplement I have taken since college to help support healthy hair, skin, and nails! Likewise, Relaxium is a must to help get a good night’s sleep!
I also love B-12 shots like the ones we had at the event! They are so quick and easy. Massage and facials are a must as part of any beauty and wellness routine. Lauren Goodman had just given me an Ultherapy treatment about a month before the event, and the results were impressive! I try and find products and treatments that I like and pass along that information!

  1. Sustainability seemed to play a significant role in the event. How do you incorporate eco-conscious practices into both Alive & Well and your live experiences?

Sustainability is an important part of wellness! The healthier our planet is, the healthier we are! It’s all connected!
All of our food at the event was plant-based, and we had the new Toyota Prius on display. They made a Prius cool! The new model is like a sports car! As part of our gift bags, we included an eco-friendly Moss Air air filter! We always keep sustainability in mind whether it’s at an event, at home, or on set!

  2. Looking ahead, what are your plans for Alive & Well? Are there more live events or exciting projects on the horizon for 2025?

We are already planning our “Day of Beauty and Wellness” for 2025! We will be shooting more episodes of Alive & Well and will be involved in some great events for awards season! We also have amazing celebrities appearing on Alive & Well next year.

Alive & Well airs on the USA TODAY NETWORK and in syndication nationwide in the U.S.

Quality, not quantity

We have made quality our habit. It’s not something that we just strive for – we live by this principle every day.
